Marine Drive Mumbai

[nggallery id=5]

Marine Drive now officially known as Netaji Subhashchandra Bose Road is a natural bay and part of the Arabian sea. Most part of Marine drive is a public place for walking and lined with palm trees. This wide path of three kilometers beside the Arabian sea is a C-shaped concrete road that links Nariman Point to Babulnath and Malabar Hill.

During evening Marine Drive becomes crowded. It is assured that the place will provide you enough fresh air and a pleasant view of setting sun.

If you have enough time you can walk along the sea shore to the northern end of Marine Drive to arrive at Chowpatty Beach and have the local food called Bhelpuri and Panipuri. As many restaurants and hotels dot this drive, you can plan a dinner as well.

If viewed at night from a high point somewhere along the drive, the lights of the street look like a string of pearls, forming a necklace. Thus Marine Drive is also known as the Queen’s Necklace.

How to reach Marine Drive
If you are at Churchgate Railway Station you can easily arrive here by walking, as the distance is approximately 1 km or get a taxi or BEST bus from other part of Mumbai city.
